Google Identity Services

2018-2019

As an IC UX Designer at Google Identity Services, I specialized in authentication design, focusing on Google Sign-In, Sign in with Google, and Google Account Linking.

One Tap Sign in with Google and Google Sign in

My initial Google project was a deep dive into authentication design, focusing on enhancing the Sign in with Google experience. I extended the feature beyond standard webpage sign-ins, creating "One-Tap" to enable seamless sign-ins within immersive product experiences. Simultaneously, I navigated the complexities of GDPR compliance, collaborating closely with legal and UX writing teams to ensure users clearly understood Google's data processing practices for third-party sign-ins. This hands-on experience provided a solid foundation in understanding intricate legal requirements and directly informed the development of a design system, which I later applied in the Google Age Assurance and Verification project.

Further solidifying my expertise, I became the primary resource for sign-in standards and best practices, supporting multiple PAs that collectively manage billions new Google accounts.

Google Account Linking X Spotify

In my first experience as a design lead, I collaborated with the Google Home App and Spotify teams to create a scalable UX solution that streamlined the account linking process for Spotify users during the Google Home out-of-box experience (OOBE). By crafting Streamlined Linking with OAuth and Google Sign-In and OAuth-based App Flip for Google Account Linking solutions with PM and ENGs from both team, we significantly reduced friction and improved the user onboarding journey. Additionally, I defined the narrative of the OOBE Account Linking flow, enhancing the UI and overseeing the illustration process to ensure a cohesive and user-friendly experience.
